Returning Des Moines native Kim Hansen explores the truth and beauty of our everyday surroundings in her realistic acrylic painting and ceramic sculpture. 

Kim earned her BFA in Visual Studies from Iowa State in 1992, then went to the University of Iowa for her Art teaching certification. In Austin, Texas, she was busy being a mom and a teacher for 25 years. Now she has returned to DSM and to making art. Creating is her therapy.
